Go get this game it's phenominal fun. Eat brains, create a legion of undead and take over humanity, fart to stun your enemies, throw gut bombs, detatch your hand and control enemies so you can use human weapons, oh the joy. This game is packed with references to old schlocky sci-fi and zombie films as well as plenty of humor. One mission has you piss in the cities water supply to contaminate it.

For those wondering there is also a PC version.

Ok, beat the game. It is quite short so this one seems like it's a renter. It is a quite a bit of fun but I think I'd be pissed if I had bought rather than rented this.

Rented it yesterday at noon. Played from 4 PM to 8 or 9PM (with a dinner break and a few BBS posts). Only died 3 or 4 times. The humor is outrageous and the game is fun but very short. You should not be able to sit down in that limited amount of time and just wander through a game on default difficulty. Seems like there should have been more levels. Definately a renter not a buyer till the price drops significantly.

The Warriors on the other hand is brawler supreme. I've never played a brawler that's held my attention like this one. I guess it has to do with the superb story telling, varied missions (extortion, mugging, drug deals, outright combat, riots, etc...). While they all seem to have common elements they feel different enough in exectuion to keep the game play feeling varied. And the fighting engine is brilliant. You have many combos, rage moves, reversals, multiple opponents/allys, killing moves, tandem attacks, and throws some of which can be combined with the enviornment for even more effect. This is without a doubt the deepest brawler ever. And best of all the learning curve isn't steep at all though mastering the game takes practice.

I'll rent this game when I beat F.E.A.R and Shadow of the Colossus. But amazing that it's only 5 hours long , these days gamers want longer games.

What suprised me most was how easy the game is. If you don't rush forward on your own, thus allowing your zombie army to keep up with you, you typically outnumber your enemies greatly. And each enemy you kill becomes an ally that you can control to some degree by whistling to them or pushing them in the direction you wish to go. Still it's a pretty enjoyable game with a good sense of humor. It's just not worth 50 dollars.

Good game, but yeah it's too short. The fact that it's lacking online co-op (or any online multiplayer) makes it definitely not worth $50. I must admit, though, the writing and voice acting were great. I was smiling the whole time (except for three parts where I kept dying over and over again).

My hands hurt from playing.

Yes, but from playing with what?

Anyhoo, a 5hr game with no multiplayer or on-line facilities is shocking in this day and age. I 've yet to play this game (ex-producers of Halo ain't it?) but as far as I understand there aren't even any *god forbid* collectables that need collecting - which is seemingly the way that games developers enlarge the length of games these days. I, on the other hand, refuse to collect anything. That's why I am clearing out my loft, fact fans!

Yeah, the game doesn't give you much incentive to play it over other than to up the difficulty. Actually, on your second time through you can find hippo icons (that look like the Wideload logo I think) that unlock developer commentary. But yeah, there's no online co-op or any multiplayer to speak of (other than co-op on the same box) so it's a bit pricey considering the game's length. Definitely a game to look out for when it drops in price.

Nags, did you find the last street fight (on your way to battle Andrew Monday) a bitch to get through? I must have died a dozen times before I cleared the place. And that taking out that tank with gas bombs took me a while to figure out. I kept trying to knock the tank into mines or shoot it with the machine gun (with a possessed human) but nothing would do the trick...

Shouldn't there be collectables that 'lock' developer commentary? Games that unlock commentary should face underwater execution by harpoon-welding scuba diving hit squad.
