Did you make it into the World of Warcraft beta? If you are in the US you missed your chance, but if you are in Europe I think there will be beta test signups at a later date.

WoW looks like it will be a good game. It certainly has a large fanbase...most Warcraft 3 players I have seen seem excited about WoW. If I wasn't so against paying a monthly fee to play a game, I might have actually thought about purchasing it when it comes out.

No I didnt make it into the beta, and don't think I don't cry myself to sleep.. whispering into the cold fruitless night...

Imma get this game. One thing is for sure is that it will get me away from Dark Age of Camelot. WOW just seems to be so much richer in detail and the things you can do.

WoW is looking good, but theres a few others which could be better. Wow is abit to dark and cartoony for me, i prefer something abit more "in your face".

But, i'll be getting it none the less, as for beta, be glad you haven't gotten in. Imo beta testing spoils the fun of playing the game after release, all those bugs you know that haven't and probably will never be fixed..knowing where everything is..i found this with AC2 and Swg now having gone back to Swg 6 months later, having forgotten almost entirely how to play it i am actually enjoying it.

So i doubt i'll be playing wow for at least the first 4-6 months, i'll jump in at a later date.

There are others to look at www.shadowpool.com has one such, not due for release for at least 2 more years, this pvp system will be much closer to Uo/Eq mix with a solid crafting system and player economy, many "original" races to choose from and i think wil be a generally decent game. But by then wow, will be looking old, and you'll all be looking for something abit better.

Question is..will you play a game based on a 3 year old engine..

noway man wow may be better then DAOC and that but look at EQ2 and warhammer online they look wayy better then wow in detail graphics and game play.

Not a MMORPG player at the moment but I try to follow gaming news and even I'm excited about WoW. Everything I've read about it describes a game that I'd actually enjoy. From what I've read, its going to me much more than just killing things to level up. They are trying really hard to institutue strong plots to the quests in the game.
