which one is better?

i always play with sorc.and i used to play with lightning storm and frozen orb.(ofcourse with masteries)

but i found out something.if you maximize fire bolt,meteor,fire mastery and fire ball (even over 20) fire ball does an incredible damage.actually the most insane damade i'd ever seen in Diablo.5800-6500
actually my single player mode sorc. does "10.000" damage because i have a great item set that gives +14/15 to all skills but you can't collect the same set on battle.net i know that.but 6000 is enough too.

!!!so what do you think?cold and lightning is a good strategy ofcourse but on the other hand,only a firecaster but an incredible damager..
i really don't know what to do so i'm asking you but don't answer me that what will u do against a monster immune to fire.that's not a big deal,u can easyly fix it with mercenary or team work..

I admit when it comes down to orb and thunderstorm, its damn near impossible to dodge them but, but on a scale of damage it doesnt even come close to fireball. it takes a while to get your aiming right, but with a little practice youll become a death machine.

i would say fireball my friend, and then go for frozen orb as a secondary so you can deal with immunes yourself when you want to(to stop reliance on other player, allowing solo runs maybe)
