the best thing to do for items is Meph with a blizz sorc.. with 340-360 mf any higher an it flips back over to zero.. or its {null} i dont know why but that has always been aproblem.. an yes i've test 1000 mf compared to 353
i found 1 occy with 1000 an with 353 i found soj ss 2 occy skullldras mara.. an list goes on.. it was way diffrent at 353 basicly.. im to conclude that 340-360 is far better (an i read the over lapping thing on some forums by an admin an they said they tired to fix it but it just made more problems so the left it as is..)
so get 340-360 mf an as much fcr as possilbe then u tele (sorc)(so u get runs done faster an the mobs dont have the time to hit u while ur teleing..) for hell u need to be atleast 92 to actualy be effective an not die... also after a while when u start to get good at it u might want to make your games named "free items" or soj or somthing so u get 8 ppl to fill the game up (they'll join in like 2 secs...) or u can join baal runs an kill meph b4 u do baal (or just join to kill meph)
other good boss are
council (act3)
andy(act1boss)
Baal (is ok but take to long..to solo.. but u can join the game like above then jump to baal when they get to him just keep your party window open so u can c when they enter the chamber...)
durial (if u got map hack)
diablo (is ok but only if your getting bored of the same boss cause honestly i dont find much on him.. u might be diffrent but thats what luck i've had in the past..)
pindle (sucks)
helforge (sucks an u can die ez depending on whats around him..)
an the first waypoint in act5 kill the top mob an kill boss below.. they are very ez.. an u get pleny of full rejuvs an somtimes good items..but mostly they are very very ez to kill..i recommend every time u join a game.. cause it takes so lil of time...)
now for the runes...
yes the countess is the best
(keep all the runes an up them once u get more of the same (i have a mule filled with runes to be up'd cause ur going to have alot but once u get all those runes it'll be worth keeping them all that time.. cause you'll be rolling in el's a first but later you'll have zod's an ber's falling out your stash..)
RUNE forge.. biggy.. make sure u have 8 players when u hit it cause the more ppl in the game the BETTER THE DROPS FROM IT... im not kidding... (make sure u can kill him though.. w/o someone following.. cause he'll loot half ur stuff..)
TIPS: if ur going farm one boss try an have 75 res vs w/e their dmg type is.. EG andy.. Psn.. meph ice/light.. council...fire.. u get the point..

highest rune i found was a LO and to my shock found it in NM baal minions many ppl wont believe it but it IS possible i also found in nm baal within a day of each other 2 SOJS gr8 very lucky 
but since new ladder started im on europe btw i am finding rubbish 
if anyone had a guarenteed spot for hr finding i would love to know about it but the thing is THERE ISNT LUCK and CHANCE is how u find all the good items...
