cant transmute runes :(

hi, new to diablo 2 lod and i have a problem i hope that someone may be able to help me with.

I cant transmute runes, i put 3 of same kind in cube ( 3 el's or 3 elds) but they dont change into higher runes.

I was wondering if anyone can poss help as my stash is now full of runes and dont want to throw them all away.

I can transmute rejuv potions and gems etc and so far only seems that i cant do runes.

I play single player as im not online at moment so cant get anyone to transmute for me.

Since you said you arent on Bnet, I think your issue is that you dont have the proper patch, since transumting runes was nonexistent pre 1.1
To get the patch, either just connect to bnet once, or get it on the official site (blizzard.com)
