Horadic cube PROBLEM!! help plz

Im trying to make the Prismatic Amulet wich should be done with 6 perfect gems + 1 amulet, that should give the result, well this is what I'm useing and it gives NO RESULT what so ever! why??

D2 LOD v1.12

1x Amulet of greed "32% extra gold from monsters"
1x Diamond
1x Ruby
1x Emerals
1x Amathyst
1x Topaz
1x Sapphire

*All into the Horadic cube they go, press the transmute button and... NOTHING HAPPENS.. WHY?? PLZ HELP im going INSANE!!! ;o)

Ok, I haven't played for years but if I remember correctly, you have to use an UnIdentified Amulet. If you have used a scroll on it you cannot transmute it.
