No, they are not resorts. Just hotels. I didn't know they existed either, but I have no problem with the concept of gay-friendly hotels. Why do they exist? That's a good question. I would say the decor of the hotel is probably designed to be appealing to a significant number of gay people. I already described the elevator in my post (above). The lobby was also unusual but not way way out.

It was a really nice place. I told my wife I was going to seek out more gay-friendly hotels on business trips. The cost was significantly cheaper than what a mainstream/popular name brand hotel chain would charge. I just won't tell you what was in the guest closet. That stuff was way, way out there. I found it funny, actually. The things in the clothes closet were clearly geared toward the gay community, which is probably, I would guess, part of the appeal of a gay-friendly hotel.
