Actually, a very small number of games will indeed require it (Final Fantasy Online and perhaps Oblivion) but I don't think it'll get unused or go away. Current pre-order projections are indicating that 80% of the systems sold will have hard drives. For casual gamers, let them save $100 while the rest of us enjoy our machines to the fullest extent.
